High physical activity levels may reduce anxiety

Updated: Aug 22, 2019

Research says that laughing for 2 mins can be just as healthy as a 20 minute jog. So now I stand aside in the park laughing at all these joggers.

Just Kidding 🤣. What are your favorite ways to do physical activity? I enjoy going to the gym (it has NOT always been this way), dancing, and doing yoga at home. It’s so important to find ways that motivate you to MOVE!

A study published in the journal Depression and Anxiety found the risk of anxiety and other related disorders was less among people with high self-reported physical activity, compared with people who had low physical activity levels. "Increasing physical activity should be considered a priority on preventing mental and physical chronic conditions and reducing overall mortality," researchers wrote.
