METHOD

 Shanon uses her “Fingerprint Method” which stands on the foundation that each individual is unique as fingerprints. This approach focuses on your entire wellbeing, yet carefully embrace your conditions to understand the root cause of your health irregularities and associated symptoms.

 

Shanon believes health is a positive vitality, and not just the absence of disease.  Shanon is passionate about teaching others how to prioritize caring for their bodies from within, which could conduce to an optimally healthy lifestyle. Her holistic “food as medicine” approach encourages all to not only suppress health symptoms, but also to eliminate the root cause of DIS-ease in body, mind, and spirit.

Shanon has coached hundreds of clients from varying cultures, including South Americans, African Americans, West Indians, and Europeans both in-person and online. 

Determined to bring visibility and transparency of the disproportionate diet and mental health disparities among people of color, she partners with community-based organizations to provide on-site coaching to impact diverse audiences and lifestyles.

Finally, Shanon connects with her audience through her digital blog and YouTube channel, which provides content and resources to inspire and challenge all to optimize health, prevent disease, and thrive in their purpose.

Shanon makes it her duty to give others the motivation, tools, and support to adopt healthy habits. She enjoys working with organizations to put on on-site seminars, weekly workshops, and cooking classes. Some of her partners include Business Body Elite, Kendal on Hudson, Feeding Westchester, CUNY Queens College, and the African American Advisory Board for Yonkers City.

 

Having obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the City University of New York - Hunter College, and years of experience working extensively with persons of mental and physical disabilities, her professional expertise as a behavior therapist has even helped clients in the workplace with developmental disabilities, such as autism, overcome chronic health and nutrition-related conditions.
